Is it just me, or does it feel like there’s a new “must-have” health trend every week?

One minute it’s collagen, the next it’s mushrooms, then some exotic berry we’ve never heard of... that apparently is the secret to eternal youth.

I’m not saying these don’t work, but it’s exhausting just trying to keep up.

Then I had to smile to myself, because I think sometimes the world has gone a little bonkers...Because the real missing link in all this talk of wellbeing doesn’t come in a capsule, a powder, or a fancy bottle.

It’s something far simpler, far more natural and you already have it with you right now.

It's You…

Your body knows how to calm itself, to harmonise, to release. It’s not new, it’s not trendy, it’s not even complicated, it’s the inner wisdom we’ve carried since the moment we were born. And yet somehow, in our rush for quick fixes, we’ve forgotten how to use it.

Science has been quietly backing this up for years: gentle touch lowers cortisol (stress), raises oxytocin (the lovely soothing hormone), and activates the vagus nerve, that clever pathway that brings your body and mind back into balance.

So, instead of chasing the next magic pill, what if we gave ourselves permission to come back to what’s already here? A hand over the heart. A slow sweep down the arms. A gentle squeeze of the shoulders. Nothing fancy, but deeply profound.

This is where Touch Yoga is so powerful because your body literally learns to regulate itself through your own hands (power of self therapeutic touch) and movement (gentle asanas). And the best part? It’s free, always available, and ridiculously effective.

So, maybe the missing link in your daily wellbeing isn’t something new at all. Maybe it’s remembering that sometimes, the most healing hands are your own and it’s free.

Why not try the Harmony Hold? This is a wonderful little practice that gently connects the lower and upper energies of your body. In just a few breaths, you’ll feel your nervous system soften, tension melt away, and a lovely sense of balance. Leaving you feeling grounded, aligned, and harmonised from the inside out.

Try this Touch Yoga Minute ‘Harmony Hold’:

  • Gently rub your hands together, creating warmth and connection.
  • Place the two fingers of one hand gently on your navel.
  • With your other hand, use your thumb and middle finger to hold the top of your nose and gently rest your index finger lightly on your third eye (between your eyebrows).
  • Close your eyes and soften your shoulders, maybe let a little smile come to your face.
  • Take seven slow, deep breaths, feeling your body harmonise and your mind begin to gently settle.
  • Notice how your nervous system relaxes, tension releases, and your own inner balance returns.
